Breeding with Purpose

Mission Statement: At Oakland Beaucerons, our vision is to develop a line of Beaucerons that excel in working ability, health, conformation, and temperament—setting the standard for working dogs and purposeful companions.

We aim to thoughtfully match each dog with the right family, creating harmony for both the dog and the people who love them. We strive to become exceptional human trainers for dogs by continually refining our programs and bridging the gap between mismatched dogs and people.

The Beauceron

Questions

Puppy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Can I come visit and meet the puppies/ your pack?

Our home is not open to the public for biosecurity purposes and privacy of our family. We encourage you to attend local dog shows and events to meet the breed. We ourselves and our dogs are often attending such events.

  • How do I place a deposit? Is it refundable?

Deposits of $750 hold your spot on a litter list and can be paid via wire transfer, Venmo, or PayPal. Deposits are NON-refundable but transferable up to 3 times to another litter. Purchasing another puppy does not qualify for a refund. The deposit contributes to total puppy price of $3,000 + ear crop fee if wanted.

  • What does my puppy come with?

AKC Limited Registration, 26-Month Health Guarantee, Microchip, Dewormed 3–4 times, First vet exam and vaccinations, Puppy goodie bag, Socialization in cars/outdoors/people, ENS and Puppy Culture methods, Early crate and potty training, Lifelong breeder and trainer support.

  • Do we get litter updates or pictures?

We post pictures every couple of weeks as the puppies grow. Special requests, videos, or private visits are not available due to kennel operations and personal boundaries.

  • How do I pick my puppy?

Puppy selection is based on temperament, natural abilities, and your goals. We perform temperament tests and involve outside trainers. Decisions are typically made around 6–7 weeks of age. Katelynn selects puppies — buyers do not choose by color.

  • What if I can't make pick-up day?

We can hold your puppy for up to one week. Payment in full is required by the original pick-up date. Additional boarding fees apply after the one-week buffer: $20/day plus $50 for any extra vaccinations.

  • What do I bring on pick-up day?

Remaining balance if not prepaid, Travel crate, Cleaning supplies, Questions about care and training.

  • What is included in the 26-Month Health Guarantee?

Covers genetic hip, elbow, and eye defects (not injuries). Puppies are guaranteed free from tested genetic diseases. Vet evaluation required for any claims.

  • What if my dog develops hip or elbow dysplasia?

Surgery is not covered. The guarantee provides either a replacement puppy of equal value or partial refund.

  • What if my puppy has breeding disqualifications?

Breeding outcomes are unpredictable. We guarantee health, not performance or training results. Breeding decisions are separate from training and care.
