Mission Statement: At Oakland Beaucerons, our vision is to develop a line of Beaucerons that excel in working ability, health, conformation, and temperament—setting the standard for working dogs and purposeful companions.
We aim to thoughtfully match each dog with the right family, creating harmony for both the dog and the people who love them. We strive to become exceptional human trainers for dogs by continually refining our programs and bridging the gap between mismatched dogs and people.

General Appearance
A distinct and historic French herding breed, developed exclusively in France. Bred for ability to herd and guard large flocks, enduring up to 50 miles per day without exhaustion. They are solid, well-balanced, and muscular without heaviness.

Temperament
Intelligent, discerning, and confident. Spirited, initiative-taking, wise, and fearless with no trace of timidity. Self-assured and frank—never mean, timid, or worried. Reserved with strangers but loving to those they know.

Oakland Beaucerons is a CODE OF ETHICS breeder and a member of the American Beauceron Club, Working Beauceron Association, and American Herding Breed Association.
All dogs are CHIC certified, ensuring the highest health standards in our breeding program.

- Hip Dysplasia: OFA Radiographic Hip or PennHIP Evaluation
- Cardiac: Congenital cardiac exam by board-certified cardiologist, includes ECHO
- Eyes: ACVO Eye Exam.

Puppy Raising & Early Development
- In-Home Family Raised: Raised in a home environment to foster socialization.
- ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation): Enhances stress tolerance, cardiovascular and immune systems (Days 3-16).

Herding Dog: Specialized Farm Training
Designed for puppies with natural herding instincts, this program introduces livestock, farm environments, and exposure to loud noises. Puppies develop drive, focus, and foundational herding skills, preparing them for farm work or specialized dog sports.

Mobility Service: Assistance Training

Task Program / Send-Back Option

Registration Overview
All puppies are sold with Limited Registration to ensure responsible breeding and prevent undesirable traits from being propagated.
Limited vs. Full Registration
Limited: Dog can participate in AKC events but cannot produce registered offspring. Unauthorized breeding can result in legal action.
Full: Dog can participate in AKC events and breed legally. Only granted under strict requirements.
Requirements for Full Registration:
- Dog passes heart, hip, elbow, and eye tests.
- Genetic panel shows no concerning carriers.
- Dog is physically fit, aesthetically pleasing, and performs above average.
- Breeding plan is ethical (bred to Beauceron of equal/superior quality).
Purchasing started dogs for breeding:
Started dogs are occasionally available. Customers must meet health, training, and ethical standards. Our program is not a loophole to bypass other breeders. Reasons not valid for breeding include: Personal enjoyment, recouping expenses, friends' requests, or emotional decisions.

How do I place a deposit? Is it refundable?
Deposits of $750 hold your spot on a litter list and can be paid via wire transfer, Venmo, or PayPal. Deposits are NON-refundable but transferable up to 3 times to another litter. Purchasing another puppy does not qualify for a refund

What does my puppy come with?
AKC Limited Registration, 26-Month Health Guarantee, Microchip, Dewormed 3–4 times, First vet exam and vaccinations, Puppy goodie bag, Socialization in cars/outdoors/people, ENS and Puppy Culture methods, Early crate and potty training, Lifelong breeder and trainer support.
Do we get litter updates or pictures?
We post pictures every couple of weeks as the puppies grow. Special requests, videos, or private visits are not available due to kennel operations and personal boundaries.
How do I pick my puppy?
Puppy selection is based on temperament, natural abilities, and your goals. We perform temperament tests and involve outside trainers. Decisions are typically made around 6–7 weeks of age. Katelynn selects puppies — buyers do not choose by color.
What if I can't make pick-up day?
We can hold your puppy for up to one week. Payment in full is required by the original pick-up date. Additional boarding fees apply after the one-week buffer: $20/day plus $50 for any extra vaccinations.
What do I bring on pick-up day?
Remaining balance if not prepaid, Travel crate, Cleaning supplies, Questions about care and training.
What is included in the 26-Month Health Guarantee?
Covers genetic hip, elbow, and eye defects (not injuries). Puppies are guaranteed free from tested genetic diseases. Vet evaluation required for any claims.
What if my dog develops hip or elbow dysplasia?
Surgery is not covered. The guarantee provides either a replacement puppy of equal value or partial refund.
What if my puppy has breeding disqualifications?
Breeding outcomes are unpredictable. We guarantee health, not performance or training results. Breeding decisions are separate from training and care.
